Trib HSSN Pennsylvania girls high school basketball rankings for Jan. 28, 2026

While folks across the state wait for any sign of a thaw out from Mother Nature’s kind gift delivered Saturday, the top girls basketball teams have dug their heels in the snow and refuse to slide back into the pack.

Well, at least most have.

Three teams lost and exited stage left into a snow drift from the Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings with Downingtown East in Class 6A, Lansdale Catholic in 4A and Dunmore in 3A all out of the Top 5 for now, replaced by Central Bucks East in 6A, Oakland Catholic in 4A and Marion Center in 3A.

There were no changes at No. 1 for the second straight week with Archbishop Carroll in 6A, South Fayette in 5A, Blackhawk in 4A, Shady Side Academy in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy in A still on top.

Here is the latest Top 5 in each of the six classifications. Teams are listed with overall record, district and last week’s ranking.
