From last week to this week, two rounds of the PIAA baseball playoffs were played.

The results left the weekly Trib HSSN state rankings almost unrecognizable in four of the six classifications.

Only the teams ranked in the Class 3A and 2A Top 5 from last week tasted success in the first two rounds of the state postseason.

The other four classes we had to blow up and start over.

All of this despite the fact 16 of the remaining 24 teams still playing into the second week of June are district champions.

Four top-ranked teams from last week remain with East Pennsboro in 4A, Riverside in 3A, Faith Christian in 2A and South Fulton in Class A still alive for state gold.

In 6A, North Penn replaces Governor Mifflin and in 5A, Lampeter-Strasburg takes over the top spot from Radnor.
