District playoff byes and early round victories have left this week’s Trib HSSN boys basketball rankings looking a lot like last week’s.
One exception, though, is in Class 5A, where two ranked teams were stunned in the opening round of their respective district postseason.
No. 2-seeded Baldwin from the WPIAL and top-seeded Manheim Central from District 3 were shocked in first round defeats that ended their district title hopes and their season.
Their losses are Neumann-Goretti’s and Hershey’s gain.
Once again, there were no changes at the top of each class with Roman Catholic in 6A, Montour in 5A, Devon Prep in 4A, Aliquippa in 3A, Linville Hill Christian in 2A and Neighborhood Academy in Class A.
Here is the latest PIAA Top 5 in each of the six classifications for 2024-25. The team’s district is the number in parenthesis after their record, followed by their ranking last week.
