Much like the bitter cold temperatures through the state, the latest Trib HSSN boys basketball rankings were nearly frozen in time from a week ago.

Some like Imhotep Charter, Hershey and Valley View each lost a game last week but were able to maintain their spot in the weekly Top 5.

Others were not as fortunate as they disappeared like tumbleweed in the desert, which is a warm thought on a frigid day.

West Lawn Wilson in Class 6A, West Branch in 2A and Nazareth Prep in A dropped out of the weekly state rankings.

They were replaced by St. Joseph’s Prep, Delone Catholic and Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School.

All six teams that were ranked No. 1 in their respective class remain on top of the leaderboard, including Roman Catholic in 6A, Monsignor Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast in 5A, Devon Prep in 4A, Mahanoy Area in 3A, Linville Hill Christian in 2A and Neighborhood Academy in A.
