Other teams that lost slid down the rankings or completely fell from the Top 5, but when LaSalle College lost to Roman Catholic two weeks ago, it remained No. 1 in Class 6A.
Last week, the Explorers showed why as they bounced back and defeated perennial power and defending PIAA Class 6A champion St. Joseph’s Prep, which had been ranked No. 3, in a District 12 showdown.
No rest for the weary as LaSalle College faces its third straight state ranked opponent Saturday in Week 7 when it hosts Class 4A No. 1 Monsignor Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast.
Besides St. Joe’s Prep falling, two other Trib HSSN ranked teams, Farrell in 2A and Westinghouse in A, also lost last week.
There also were no changes at the top of the six classifications with LaSalle College in 6A, Peters Township in 5A, Monsignor Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast in 4A, Northwestern Lehigh in 3A, Troy in 2A and Fort Cherry in A still No. 1.
Here are the latest Trib HSSN rankings in each of the six classifications. Teams are listed with overall record, last week’s ranking and district.
