It has been a stormy start to the 2024 high school football season, both weather-wise in some parts of the state and in the weekly PIAA rankings.
Last week there were six changes in the state Top 5, and this week there were five as the Trib HSSN state rankings remain in a state of flux.
Two classifications (5A and A) had no changes from last week, but two teams dropped in Class 3A as Scranton Prep and Neumann-Goretti are out, replaced by Imani Christian and Penn Cambria.
The other three moves were West Lawn Wilson in 6A, Pope John Paul II in 4A and Redbank Valley in A all exiting and replaced by Manheim Township, Montour and Port Allegany respectively.
