A couple of classifications were hit hard by changes from last week’s Trib HSSN state softball rankings while other classes are virtually unchanged.
Class 5A and 4A saw two teams exit with two new teams entering the top 5.
North Pocono and Upper Dublin in 5A and Elizabeth Forward and Eastern Lebanon County in 4A stumbled out while Solanco and Penn-Trafford in 5A and Tunkhannock and Kennard Dale entered the land of the elite.
Class 3A and 2A saw one change with Upper Dauphin and Bristol exiting, replaced by Saint Mary’s and Everett.
Class 6A and A shuffled, but the five elite teams remain the same.
One of those shuffles was at the top in 6A as South Western replaced Seneca Valley following the Raiders’ loss to Pine-Richland.
The other five classes remain the same at the top with Marple Newtown in 5A, Blue Mountain in 4A, Sharon in 3A, Neshannock in 2A and Carmichaels in A.
