While thoughts and prayers go out to those in the state still recovering from a damaging storm Tuesday, there was a great calm in the state softball rankings as we head into May.
A grand total of one team fell out of the weekly Trib HSSN state softball rankings from a week ago.
In Class 3A, one District 6 teams replaced another as Marion Center dropped out and Westmont-Hilltop entered.
There was a change at the top in the highest classification, though, as Cumberland Valley took over at No. 1 in Class 6A, bumping a fellow District 3 team in South Western down to No. 2.
The rest of the top-ranked teams remain unchanged with Marple Newtown in 5A, Northwestern Lehigh in 4A, Sharon in 3A, Neshannock in 2A and Carmichaels in A.
