One-time rivals and neighbors who simply put did not like one another. Penn-Trafford and Jeannette once had a rivalry for the ages. No other game had as much meaning to its community’s as when these two met on that first Friday of the football season. At one point Jeannette won 17 straight in this series till Penn-Trafford came into its own. Now, these once bitter rivals and neighbors find themselves ranked #1 in the state in their respected classes. Two schools a few miles apart have essentially become supporters of one another to make a historical run at state titles. Two schools this close inĀ  proximaty have never achieved this goal. Once enemies, now supporters trying to do what two other neighbors have never done.
