WPIAL boys volleyball teams enter the second week of section play looking to make moves in the standings.

A number of teams have at least one section match under their belts, while several begin section play Tuesday evening.

On the cusp of numerous key matchups in both Class 3A and Class 2A, the Western Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association released its Week 3 top-10 polls Monday morning.

North Allegheny (Class 3A) and Shaler (Class 2A) maintain their hold on the top spots in their respective rankings.

Class 3A saw a number of teams trade places in the rankings. Pine-Richland remained at No. 2, while Latrobe bumped up one spot to No. 3. Seneca Valley is No. 4, followed by Penn-Trafford, Butler, Hempfield, Canon-McMillan and Norwin.

Mt. Lebanon moved into the rankings at No. 10.

Ambridge and Mars also held their spots in Class 2A at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

Seton LaSalle is No. 4, followed by North Catholic, Thomas Jefferson, South Fayette, Hopewell and Montour.

Deer Lakes made its season-debut in the Class 2A rankings at No. 10.

Each week throughout the season, all 45 boys volleyball head coaches will have the opportunity to cast a ballot for the top-10 rankings and also nominate players for each classification’s players of the week
