Yough and Charleroi will pick up Oct. 7 where they left off when they resume a game that was suspended late in the second half Sept. 11.

The Section 4-2A game was halted because of unruly fans, Yough coach Ron Dushak said.

“The referees asked the fans to leave the stands, and many of them went to the top of the stands,” Dushak said. “They didn’t leave, so the referee blew the whistle and suspended the game.”

The teams will finish the final 4 minutes, 14 seconds of the game prior to the junior varsity game, then play their second section matchup after the JV game. It will be Yough’s senior night.

Yough is leading 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal by Isaac Pacacha.

Yough is in third place behind Mt. Pleasant and Charleroi in Section 4-2A.

Hat on hat

Why settle for one hat trick when you can have two?

Greensburg Central Catholic racked up a pair of three-goal games in a 12-0 win over California as Grant Brewer and Lukas Czegan both found the net three times.
