Westmoreland County high school football players to watch for 2024 Week 4

Ligonier Valley, sr., WR/DB

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound senior had a big game as the Rams defeated Shady Side Academy last Friday. He caught eight passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns. He also clinched the victory with a late interception. The Rams head to Moon to play OLSH in a Class 2A Allegheny Conference contest this Friday.

Samir Crosby

Greensburg Central Catholic, jr., QB/DB

The 5-9, 165-pound junior has completed 28 of 52 passes for 528 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He also has rushed for 428 yards and eight touchdowns. He leads the team with 43 tackles (35 solo) and has one interception.

Kole Doppelheuer

Belle Vernon, sr., RB/OLB

The 5-9, 165-pound senior has 13 solo tackles and two interceptions. He has rushed for 89 yards and has four catches for 22 yards. He has scored two touchdowns, including a kickoff return against Central Valley.

Brayden Gerst

Hempfield, jr., LB/RB

The 5-10, 195-pound junior leads the Spartans with 38 tackles, including 15 against North Allegheny last week. He has one tackle for a loss and also plays some on offense. The Spartans host No. 2 Central Catholic this Friday.
