Westmoreland County high school football players to watch for 2024 Week 9

John Wetzel
Latrobe, sr., QB/S
The 6-foot, 190-pound senior is coming off a career game in leading the Wildcats to a 28-27 victory at Gateway. He completed 8 of 12 passes for 132 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 161 yards. The Marshall commit is also a hard-nosed defensive player.
Players to watch
Reddik Katchur
Hempfield, sr., WR/DB
The 5-11, 155-pound senior is the leader in the secondary for the Spartans. He has 53 tackles and four interceptions. He’ll have a big role in helping to shut down the Gateway passing game this week.
Deaubre Lightfoot
Belle Vernon, jr., WR/DB
The 5-10, 165-pound junior is an efficient receiver for the Leopards. He has eight catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He also plays in the secondary and has recorded two interceptions and returned a punt for a touchdown.
Jackson McMullan
Greensburg Central Catholic, sr., WR/DE
The 6-3, 193-pound senior has completed one pass for a 30-yard touchdown. He has rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown and has seven catches for 134 yards and five touchdowns. He’s also recorded 25 tackles and two quarterback sacks.
