Jackson Mickens
Southmoreland, So., RB/DE
The sophomore was a disruptive force on defense in Southmoreland’s win against Ringgold. Mickens had three sacks, forced a fumble and raced 32 yards with interception for a touchdown. He also rushed for 68 yards and scored on a 9-yard run.
Players to watch
Johnny Gergely
Yough, So., RB/LB
The Cougars sophomore rushed for 382 yards and three touchdowns. He has 35 tackles, three sacks, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.
Henry Mutschler
Hempfield, Sr., WR/DB
The senior has 13 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown. He has six tackles, an interception and broke up six passes on defense. He is a lockdown cornerback.
Tommy Verruggio
Franklin Regional, Jr., HB/LB
Verruggio has played almost every snap, including special teams. He is one of the leading tacklers and is an outstanding run blocker and receiver.
