Norwin last played Seneca Valley in the 2021 quarterfinals, with the Raiders winning 4-3 in overtime. Second-year coach DeVito, a former standout defender at Penn Hills and Edinboro, has been coaching for nine years (seven at Penn Hills) but she has never faced Seneca Valley. … Seneca Valley edged past Upper St. Clair, 1-0, in two overtimes in the quarterfinals. Marcotte scored the golden goal for the Raiders, who were the WPIAL runners-up last season, losing 1-0 to Peters Township in the final. The Raiders, who have 10 shutouts, tied Peters Township 1-1 earlier this season. Norwin and Seneca Valley have allowed only 10 goals each all season, including a combined five goals in section play. Both teams also have a one-goal loss to Fox Chapel, and each has a loss to North Allegheny. Perry has been the coach for nine seasons and has 118 wins and a WPIAL title in 2018.
