MONDAY
Hockey
PIHL Class AA South/East heavyweights Latrobe (12-5) and Franklin Regional (10-6) square off in an important divisional clash at 8:30 p.m. at Center Ice Arena in Delmont.
Other games to watch include Hempfield (9-5) vs. Shaler (8-7) at 6 p.m. at Alpha Complex and Upper St. Clair (9-6) vs. Penn-Trafford (9-8) at 7 p.m. at Ice Castle. And in Class A, Norwin (7-10) meets Deer Lakes (8-9) at 6:30 at Center Ice.
Boys basketball
Jeannette (16-3) plays its regular-season finale against Saltsburg (9-11), but football will be on display at halftime when the WPIAL and PIAA champion Jayhawks are honored — and presented a check from Elliott Group to put toward championship rings.
Altoona (5-11) at Latrobe (14-7) and Greensburg Salem (10-10) at Derry (8-10) are other playoff tune-up games.
Girls basketball
Hempfield (11-10) heads to Class 4A No. 2 Blackhawk (17-2) in its regular-season finale. Latrobe (15-6) visits Connellsville (11-10), and Norwin (11-8) hosts 6A No. 2 Peters Township (18-3) in nonsection action.
TUESDAY
Basketball
Coaches and team representatives will gather at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel in Green Tree for the WPIAL playoff pairings meeting. Eight local boys teams and five girls teams will learn their opening opponents.
WEDNESDAY
Bowling
The WPIBL boys team championships will be at Wildlife Lanes in Lower Burrell.
THURSDAY
Swimming
The final section night of the season features Latrobe at Hempfield and Norwin at Penn-Trafford in Section 1-AAA.
Derry goes to Greensburg Salem in Section 4-AA.
Bowling
The girls WPIBL team championships will be at Family Bowl-Away in Butler.
FRIDAY
Wrestling
The WPIAL Class AA individual section tournaments begin at various sites.
Gymnastics
The WPIAL team gymnastics championships will be contested at Moon. Doors open at 4 p.m. The parade of athletes will start at 6:55 with competition starting at 7.
Basketball
The WPIAL playoffs traditionally begin on this night.
SATURDAY
Wrestling
Class AA section tournaments conclude around the WPIAL.
Gymnastics
Moon will be the site for the WPIAL individual championships. The parade of athletes is at 9:50 a.m. and competition begins at 10.

The WPIAL playoffs continue with early round games.
