MONDAY

Boys soccer: Three county teams will look to keep playoff runs going in the WPIAL semifinals.

Norwin, the No. 2 seed in Class 4A, takes on No. 3 Upper St. Clair at 8 p.m. at North Allegheny.

Norwin will be the site for a local doubleheader: Class A No. 2 Greensburg Central Catholic meets No. 3 Seton La Salle at 6 p.m., followed by No. 1 seed Franklin Regional vs. No. 12 Thomas Jefferson in 3A.

Girls volleyball: No. 6 seed Norwin will play No. 3 Pine-Richland in the WPIAL 4A quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. at Pine-Richland.

Greensburg Central Catholic, meantime, the No. 3 seed in Class A, faces No. 6 Brentwood in another quarterfinal at 6 p.m. at Oakland Catholic.

Football: The WPIAL will announce playoff pairings at 7 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel in Green Tree. The opening round is scheduled to begin Friday.

TUESDAY

Girls soccer: Greensburg Central Catholic will play rival Shady Side Academy in the WPIAL Class A third-place game for a spot in the PIAA playoffs. The game time and site have not been determined.

Field hockey: In an all-Westmoreland final, Penn-Trafford will take on Latrobe in the WPIAL Class AA championship. The game starts at 7:45 p.m. at Fox Chapel.

Girls volleyball: The 11th-seeded Franklin Regional girls take on No. 3 Thomas Jefferson in the WPIAL Class 3A quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. at Norwin.

In Class 2A, No. 7 Derry faces No. 2 North Catholic at 6 p.m. at North Allegheny in another second-round match.

WEDNESDAY

Girls volleyball: The WPIAL Class 4A and A playoffs move into the semifinal round.

THURSDAY

Girls volleyball: The playoff scene in WPIAL Class in 3A and 2A shifts to the semifinals.

FRIDAY

Football: The WPIAL playoffs begin. Penn-Trafford, Belle Vernon, Penn-Trafford and Jeannette will have home games in the first round.

Ligonier Valley opens the District 6 playoffs at home against Marion Center.

Soccer: The WPIAL championship games will be played over two days at Highmark Stadium at Station Square.

Girls tennis

The PIAA championships get underway in Hershey.

SATURDAY

Cross country: Hershey’s Parkview cross country course will be the host site again for the PIAA championships. The schedule is as follows: girls Class A, 9:30 a.m.; girls AA, 10:15; girls AAA, 11; boys A, 11:45; boys AA, 12:30 p.m.; boys AAA, 1:15. Soccer: The WPIAL soccer championships continue to Highmark Stadium.

Girls volleyball: The WPIAL championships will be contested at Fox Chapel with Class A at noon, 2A at 2 p.m., 3A at 4, and 4A at 6.
