WPIAL sets schedule for 2025 baseball championships, 3rd-place games

The WPIAL announced times for its six baseball championship games Tuesday and Wednesday at EQT Park in Washington.

The schedule includes an earlier than usual start Wednesday to accommodate Class A finalist Serra Catholic, which has a graduation ceremony that evening, WPIAL administrator Vince Sortino said. The Class 6A, 5A and 4A finals are Tuesday with 3A, 2A and A on Wednesday.

EQT Park was formerly Wild Things Park.

The WPIAL also set the schedule for third-place games Tuesday and Wednesday on Washington & Jefferson’s baseball field, adjacent to EQT Park.

Championship

Norwin (14-8) vs. Seneca Valley (16-6) at EQT Park, Washington, 1 p.m. Tuesday

Class 5A

Championship

Pine-Richland (20-3) vs. Shaler (16-6) at EQT Park, Washington, 7 p.m. Tuesday

Third place

Bethel Park (18-5) vs. Peters Township (15-8) at W&J’s Ross Memorial Park, 4 p.m. Tuesday

Class 4A

Championship

Indiana (21-1) vs. Elizabeth Forward (16-3) at EQT Park, Washington, 4 p.m. Tuesday

Third place

Belle Vernon (15-6) vs. Central Valley (12-11) at W&J’s Ross Memorial Park, 1 p.m. Tuesday

Class 3A

Championship

Riverside (16-2) vs. Quaker Valley (15-6) at EQT Park, Washington, 5 p.m. Wednesday

Third place

South Park (14-7) vs. Mohawk (12-10) at W&J’s Ross Memorial Park, 5 p.m. Wednesday

Class 2A

Championship

Freedom (14-7) vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (15-7) at EQT Park, Washington, 2 p.m. Wednesday

Laurel (10-11) vs. Riverview (14-7) at W&J’s Ross Memorial Park, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday

Serra Catholic (18-3) vs. Carmichaels (15-4) at EQT Park, Washington, 11 a.m. Wednesday

Greensburg Central Catholic (17-3) vs. Eden Christian (15-5) at W&J’s Ross Memorial Park, noon Wednesday
