WPIAL basketball seniors selected for Pennsylvania vs. Maryland games

Ten WPIAL basketball seniors will play in the 43rd Annual Pennsylvania vs Maryland All-Star Weekend on Friday and Saturday at Harrisburg Christian Athletic Center.
The two days will feature nine games, three on Friday and six on Saturday, with seven featuring all players from Pennsylvania schools and the final two pitting Pennsylvania All-Star girls and boys against Maryland. A handful of WPIAL players will compete in multiple games.
Vincentian's Zach McDonough will play for the Pennsylvania Boys All-Stars against Maryland at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
The 6 p.m. Saturday boys game between the East Coast North Boys against the West Coast North will include six WPIAL players on the East Coast North: East Allegheny's Cedric Blackman, Sto-Rox's Brandon DeLoe, Canon-McMillan's Jason Fowlkes, Greensburg Salem's Marvel McGowan, Steel Valley's Chase Polak and Burrell's Donovan Russell.
DeLoe also will play for the Mid-Atlantic Stars against the Keystone All-Stars at 6 p.m. Friday, while Folkes will play for the PA All-Stars against the Capital Area All-Stars at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Seneca Valley's Maurica Whitsett will play for the PA All-Stars at 8:30 p.m. Friday and for the PA South Boys against the PA North Boys at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
The girls selections were St. Joseph's Alex Jones and Apollo-Ridge's Megan Ost, who both will play for the PA All-Stars against the Capital Area girls at 7:15 p.m. Friday and for the East Coast South girls against the East Coast North at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.
