WPIAL boys, girls golf teams crowned section champions

The 2018 WPIAL boys’ and girls’ golf team championships are set for Thursday after the district crowned individual champions in those sports in recent weeks.

Here is a rundown of all the section champions.

Boys golf

Class AAA

Section 1: Latrobe

Section 2: Belle Vernon and Thomas Jefferson

Section 3: Pine-Richland

Section 4: Central Catholic and Fox Chapel

Section 5: Moon

Section 6: Mt. Lebanon

Section 7: South Fayette

Section 8: Shady Side Academy

Class AA

Section 1: Burrell

Section 2: Mt. Pleasant

Section 3: North Catholic

Section 4: Bentworth

Section 5: Ellwood City and Riverside

Section 6: Hopewell

Section 7: Elizabeth Forward

Section 8: Carmichaels

Section 9: Sewickley Academy

Girls golf

Class AAA

Section 1: North Allegheny

Section 2: Upper St. Clair
