WPIAL Class 3A roundup: Shady Side Academy takes advantage of Valley turnovers in win

Isaiah Beckham ran for two touchdowns as Shady Side Academy earned a 43-14 Class 3A Allegheny Conference win over Valley on Friday night.
Beckham also had one of three interceptions the Bulldogs (5-3, 2-1) returned for scores.
Darnell Coaston caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Tristin Goodwin as Valley (2-6, 0-3) took an 8-7 lead in the first quarter.
Elizabeth Forward 49, South Allegheny 15 — In Interstate Conference play, Ryan Messina threw for 108 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a TD as No. 2 Elizabeth Forward (8-0, 3-0) defeated South Allegheny (1-7, 0-3). Charlie Nigut added 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Elizabeth Forward.
Beaver 38, Seton LaSalle 20 — In the Western Hills Conference, Beaver (6-2, 2-2) defeated Seton LaSalle (4-4, 2-3).
South Park 35, Hopewell 0 — Eric Doerue rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns as South Park (6-2, 3-2) shut out Hopewell (1-7, 0-4) in the Western Hills Conference. Kingston Krotec threw for 120 yards in the loss.
West Mifflin 57, Quaker Valley 13 — Armond Hill ran for 313 yards and five touchdowns — all in the first half — to lead West Mifflin (3-4, 2-1) to the Western Hills Conference win at Quaker Valley (1-7, 1-3).
Meyersdale 45, Brownsville 0 — In nonconference play, Meyersdale (4-4) downed Brownsville (1-5).
