WPIAL Class 4A football roundup: West Allegheny rallies past Blackhawk for Parkway win

Brock Cornell ran for 75 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter as West Allegheny slipped past Blackhawk, 10-6, in the Class 4A Parkway Conference on Friday night.
Andy Cosnek added a 39-yard field goal for West Allegheny (6-2, 4-1). Will Brown accounted for the scoring for Blackhawk (0-8, 0-5) with field goals of 27 and 21 yards.
Aliquippa 55, New Castle 7 — Top-ranked Aliquippa (7-0, 5-0) defeated New Castle (0-8, 0-5) for the Parkway Conference win.
Central Valley 56, Ambridge 12 — Mason Dixon ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns as No. 4 Central Valley (6-2, 4-1) beat Ambridge (2-6, 1-4) in Parkway Conference play. Steven Rutherford threw for 151 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Montour 49, Chartiers Valley 7 — No. 3 Montour (7-1, 4-1) downed Chartiers Valley (2-6, 2-3) in the Parkway Conference.
Thomas Jefferson 71, Ringgold 0 — Jason Salman caught two touchdown passes and returned a kickoff 52 yards for another TD as No. 5 Thomas Jefferson (7-1, 3-1) downed Ringgold (0-8, 0-4) in Big Seven Conference play. Luke Kosko threw three touchdown passes, including two to Sean Sullivan. Thomas Jefferson led at halftime, 50-0.
Trinity 38, Laurel Highlands 7 — Jonah Williamson threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing TD as Trinity (5-3, 3-2) beat Laurel Highlands (1-7, 0-4) in Big Seven Conference play. Dante Derubbo caught two touchdown passes.
Hampton 35, Indiana 7 — Hampton (3-5, 3-1) beat Indiana (2-6, 0-5) in the Greater Allegheny Conference.
Avonworth 42, North Catholic 21 — Carson Bellinger threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns to lead Class 3A No. 3 Avonworth (8-0) to the win against Class 4A North Catholic (4-4). Andrew Kuban caught 11 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns for Avonworth. Jack Fennell ran for 94 yards and a touchdown for North Catholic and returned a kickoff 90 yards for another TD.
Waynesburg Central 35, Uniontown 6 — In nonconference play, Breydon Woods ran for three touchdowns to lead Waynesburg Central (6-2) to the win against Uniontown (2-6). Jacob Stephenson threw for two touchdowns for Waynesburg Central.
Weir (W.Va.) 34, Albert Gallatin 0 — Corey Lyons ran for two touchdowns as Weirton Weir (W.Va.) (7-1) shut out Albert Gallatin (2-5) in nonconference play.
