WPIAL field hockey coaches announce 2025 all-stars

WPIAL field hockey champions Pine-Richland, Fox Chapel and Shady Side Academy were well represented when the league’s coaches announced all-stars.

The three title-winning teams had eight individuals apiece recognized Friday by the WPIAL Field Hockey Coaches Association. Four players from both Pine-Richland and Fox Chapel also were selected for All-WPIAL honors overall, along with three from Shady Side Academy.

Class 3A champion Pine-Richland won its seventh consecutive WPIAL title and eighth overall. Fox Chapel, the 2A champion, won its sixth league title and first since 2016. Class A champion Shady Side Academy won a record-tying 22nd WPIAL title and the team’s seventh in eight years.
