WPIAL Recruitting: Two District Stars Make Their College Choices

One star football player and one star baseball player have made their college choices this week. Upper St. Clair quarterback and linebacker Dakota Conwell has decided that Pitt is It while Neshannock outfielder John Sansone is headed south to Florida State.
As he prepares for his senior season at USC Conwell picked Pitt where he will play linebacker over offers from Maryland Temple and Toledo.
Meanwhile Sansone led the entire WPIAL in hitting during his recently completed junior regular season finishing with a .661 average for the WPIAL Class A champion Neshannock Lancers. In 62 at-bats he had 11 doubles two triples and five home runs. He scored 34 runs and had 25 RBIs and struck out only three times. In addition he stole 16 bases.
