WPIAL sets playoff sites, times for Saturday’s basketball semifinals

The WPIAL has scheduled four basketball semifinal doubleheaders Saturday at Montour, Mt. Lebanon, North Allegheny and Peters Township.

The classifications in action are Class 4A boys, 3A girls, 2A girls and A boys.

Saturday’s semifinals

Class 4A boys

1-Lincoln Park (21-3) vs. 4-Uniontown (21-3) at Peters Township, noon

2-Hampton (21-3) vs. 6-Avonworth (17-7) at North Allegheny, 4 p.m.

Class 3A girls

1-Avonworth (21-1) vs. 4-Neshannock (17-7) at North Allegheny, 2 p.m.

2-Shady Side Academy (22-2) vs. 3-Beaver Falls (16-6) at Mt. Lebanon, 2 p.m.

Class 2A girls

1-Greensburg Central Catholic (18-6) vs. 12-South Side (15-9) at Peters Township, 2 p.m.

2-Aliquippa (21-3) vs. 3-Serra Catholic (20-4) at Mt. Lebanon, noon

Class A boys

1-Imani Christian (12-10) vs. 5-Union (14-10) at Montour, 2 p.m.

2-Neighborhood Academy (17-5) vs. 3-Rochester (17-6) at Montour, noon

Thursday quarterfinals: 6A girls, 5A boys, 3A boys, A girls

Friday quarterfinals: 6A boys, 5A girls, 4A girls, 2A boys
