WPIAL softball playoff clinchings, scenarios through May 5, 2024

The WPIAL softball playoff field is nearly filled as the regular season winds down to the final two days.

Coverage of the 2024 WPIAL softball playoffs on Trib HSSN starts with the brackets being unveiled during the Playoff Pairings Show at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The top four teams in each section qualify for the postseason. In 6A, the top six teams qualify for the WPIAL playoffs.

Here are the teams that will battle for diamond gold, plus the latest playoff scenarios updated through Sunday:

Class 6A: Set with 6 playoff teams – two byes into the semifinals, two quarterfinals games
