WPIAL teams learn opponents for PIAA girls soccer playoffs

The WPIAL girls soccer championships are in the rearview mirror with Peters Township in Class 4A, South Fayette in 3A, Quaker Valley in 2A and Springdale in A becoming the 2024 golden girls on the pitch.

Now the chase for state gold begins with the start of the 2024 PIAA girls soccer playoffs.

Here’s a look at the PIAA first-round matchups set for Tuesday:

Class 4A

Central Dauphin (16-2-1) at Peters Township (19-0-1) at 4 p.m.

Northern York (18-2-1) vs. Lower Merion (16-5-1) at Harriton at 6 p.m.

Seneca Valley (14-3-2) vs. Altoona (15-5) at Mansion Park in Altoona at 7 p.m.

Conestoga (19-3) at Manheim Township (18-2) at 7:30 p.m.

Central York (17-3-1) at Central Bucks East (21-4) at 5 p.m.
