With Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly in the stadium, Pine-Richland quarterback Phil Jurkovec threw two touchdowns and rushed for three more. Jordan Crawford added two touchdown runs, but Pine-Richland did most of its damage in the air.

Domenick DiFalco’s field goal and Nate Leopold’s fumble recovery on Armstrong’s first play of its overtime possession helped Franklin Regional escape with a thrilling 26-23 victory over the River Hawks on Friday in a WPIAL Class 5A Big East Conference game.

The Class 5A No. 5 Tigers scored six first-half touchdowns on their way to a 48-14 win in a Big East Conference matchup.
