While there will be no playoff clinchings in the five games set for the Eighth Saturday of the 2012 season, that doesn't mean the slate was filled with meaningless games. Shady Side Academy tuned up with a win before next weeks win-and-your-in game at Kittanning in Week 9, however Avonworth was stunned on the road with a loss heading into their big showdown with rival Northgate next Friday.
