2010 WPIAL Girls Volleyball Playoffs

There will be a new queen of the hill in Class AAA in 2010 after last years district title winner was eliminated. 2009 champion Mount Lebanon was one of 14 teams to see their season come to an end with a First Round loss Wednesday night in the WPIAL Girls Volleyball Playoffs. Here are ALL of the final scores from the opening round thus far, plus the rest of the schedule for round one on Thursday and the matchups for some of the Quarterfinals scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd.

West Allegheny in Class AA and West Shamokin in Class A are still alive looking to repeat as WPIAL champions here in 2010 after winning district gold a year ago. However with West Shamokin now in Double A, there will be at least one new champion crowned in two weeks.

All three disitrict championship finals are set for Franklin Regional High School on Saturday, November 8th.
