First Love Christian Academy shooting guard Jett Roesing has made his college decision and announced his commitment to Duquesne on Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-4 sharp shooter thanked family members, coaches, trainers, and teammates in his Twitter announcement which comes on the heels of a summer where his recruitment started to heat up after solid performances at AAU tournaments around the country. At the beginning of July, Roesing picked up four Division I offers in the matter of 24 hours from Manhattan, Delaware, UMass and Youngstown State, after the Mid Atlantic Independent School Shootout in New Jersey.

At the time, Roesing said he was receiving interest from several other schools, including Duquesne.

In recent weeks, Fairfield and Fordham had also offered Roesing.

Before transferring to First Love Christian Academy last season, Roesing contributed to back-to-back WPIAL championships at Sewickley Academy. This past season, Roesing took his game to another level and averaged 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists for First Love, a Washington, Pa., school, as it went 18-10 against competition from all over the country.
