The thought of double titles must be very intriguing to the 12 WPIAL champions this year because through two rounds of the PIAA basketball playoffs, 11 of them are still alive, three wins from finding that rare pot filled with district and state gold.

Girls 5A champion South Fayette was the first, and thus far only, district team to get knocked out before the state quarterfinals as it fell big to Oakland Catholic in the 5A second round.

Only two teams dropped in both the boys and girls power rankings from prior to the start of the Road to Hershey.

Baldwin and Greensburg Central Catholic boys dropped and were replaced by Shaler and North Catholic, while South Fayette and North Allegheny fell on the girls side with their spots filled by McKeesport and Oakland Catholic.

No changes on top as the Lincoln Park boys and Norwin girls continue to feel the power atop the Trib 10.

Here are the latest Trib 10 power rankings with overall records and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
