April began with a week of rain and snow wreaking havoc on the WPIAL diamond sports, which could make up some ground with warmer weather on the horizon. There is plenty of scholastic spring sports action scheduled this week on the TribLive High School Sports Network.

Brady McGuire hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh as Shaler scored all of its runs in the final three innings in a 5-2 victory over Moon on Saturday, splitting a Section 3-5A two-game series.
