Central Valley Girls Win PIAA AA Team Golf Championship

Thanks in part to Macky Fouse's 77 on Wednesday, the Central Valley girls golf team captured the PIAA Class AA team championship at the Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York. The Warriors become only the second WPIAL girls team to win a state golf championship, following the Shady Side Academy Indians, who won state crowns in 2008, 2009 and 2011. Penn-Trafford girls finished second in Class AAA, Burgettstown boys were third in Class AA and Pitttsburgh Central Catholic boys were fifth in Class AAA.
