Latrobe squeezed out a 6-5 win against Homer City in a key game Wednesday. The win put the Jethawks (12-4) in first place, a half-game ahead of idle Hempfield East (11-4-1).

Bushy Run (10-3-1) stayed in the hunt by defeating Young Township (4-9), 14-3. Bushy Run will host Mt. Pleasant for a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Lower Burrell (8-7-1) moved into fourth place with a 13-6 victory against Unity (5-11). Lower Burrell now has won four consecutive games and will travel to Young Township on Thursday.
