Former Woodland Hills running back Jo-El Shaw, who played the past two seasons at Lackawanna College, announced Saturday he's transferring to Kent State.

Shaw rushed for 848 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore in nine games last season for Lackawanna, a junior college in Scranton. He averaged 94.2 yards per game and 5.1 per carry.

The 6-foot-2, 235-pound rusher also listed offers from Syracuse, Duquesne, Robert Morris, Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina and UMass. At Woodland Hills, Shaw originally committed to Syracuse before enrolling at Lackawanna.
