Franklin Regional’s Ramey captures 4 medals at WPIALs

Junior Abigail Ramey had quite a medal haul at the WPIAL Class AAA swimming championships last week at Pitt's Trees Pool.
She finished fourth in the 200-yard IM (2:07.03) and seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.67).
She also was part of the third-place 200 free relay (1:37.09) with Lily Wang, Baylee Horvath and Michelle Lopes, and the fifth-place 400 free relay (3:35.66) with Lopes, Wang and Laura DiNunzio.
Junior Patrick Cavanaugh garnered three medals, finishing eighth in 200 IM (1:56.64) and 100 breast (58.80).
He also was part of the eighth-place 400 free relay with Ethan Yant, Matthew Busche and Elias Holm that finished in 3:17.46.
The girls team finished sixth in the team standings, and the boys were 11th.
