Call it a Christmas Blessing for the Greensburg Salem girls basketball team.

Blessing Gantt hit the buzzer-beating game-winner to defeat Buckeye Valley (Ohio), 33-31, on Friday in the championship game of the pink division at the KSA Pre-Holiday Tournament in Orlando, Fla.

Gantt finished with seven points and was named tournament MVP. Ashlan Price led the Golden Lions (7-1) with 10 points. Regan Kerr added nine.

Lincoln Park 70, Breathit County (Ky.) 30 – Maddie Syka scored 23 points to help Lincoln Park (7-0) earn a win at the Smoky Mountain Classic in Tennessee. Sarah Scott added 17 points for the Leopards and J’la Kizart had 12.

McGuffey 57, Jeannette 26 – Taylor Schumacher scored 25 points to lead McGuffey (7-0) to a nonsection victory. Adriana Allison led Jeannette (3-3) with 11 points.

Riverview 52, Propel Braddock Hills 10 – Katerina Tsambis scored 12 points and Lola Abraham added 10 as Riverview (6-1) cruised to a nonsection victory. The Raiders jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter. Khaliah Pegues led Propel Braddock Hills (1-6) with six points.

South Side 45, Burgettstown 41 – Bailey Strnisa scored 16 points to power South Side (4-5) to a nonsection victory. Kaitlyn Nease scored 11 for Burgettstown (4-5).

Wilmington 72, Ellwood City 45 – Lia Krarup had 26 points for Wilmington in a nonsection win. Caitlin Kreitzer scored 14 for Ellwood City (5-3).

Boys basketball

Brashear 68, Cornell 39 – Titus Gilett finished with 27 points and sank five 3-pointers to pace Brashear (3-5) in a nonsection win. Mike Lee had 17 for the Bulls. Santana Lee scored eight for Cornell (3-4).

Burgettstown 75, South Side 71 – Carson Tkalcevic hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 31 points to help Burgettstown (8-0) to a nonsection win. James Leiuce and Zack Schrockman each added 20. Brody Almashy scored 30 and Andrew Corfield added 19 for South Side (3-4).

Butler 76, Slippery Rock 48 – Braylon Littlejohn finished with 26 points and Donovan Carney scored 24 to push Butler (5-1) past Slippery Rock in nonsection action. Josh Book had 31 for the Rockets.

Cameron (W. Va.) 61, West Greene 37 – Colson Wichterman led Cameron with 24 points in a nonsection win. Lane Allison had 23 for West Greene (3-4).

McGuffey 61, Leechburg 29 – Grayson Wallace scored 27 points and Jake Ealy added a career-high 10 as McGuffey (5-2) topped Leechburg (2-6) in a nonsection game. Brady Rollinger had 10 for the Blue Devils.

Mohawk 62, Freedom 21 – Led by 12 points from Bobby Fadden, 11 from JJ Nail and 10 from Mason Hopper, Mohawk (3-4, 1-0) beat Freedom (0-10, 0-2) in Section 1-3A. Jay Wrona hit three 3-pointers for the Warriors.

Neighborhood Academy 64, Rochester 33 – Courtney Wallace led Neighborhood Academy (6-1) with 22 points in a nonsection win. Shamar Simpson scored 13 and Ogbonne Onwubiko netted 10. Xavier Rigby scored 10 for Rochester (2-4).

Neshannock 44, Armstrong 38 – Talan Anderton scored 10 points to lead Neshannock (7-1) to a nonsection win. Isaiah Riggle scored 14 and Jack Valasek 12 for Armstrong (6-2).

Norwin 52, Greensburg Salem 42 – Mario Csukas had 18 points and Norwin (4-3) topped Greensburg Salem (1-7) in nonsection play. Ryan Burkhart scored 21 for the Golden Lions.

Riverview 60, Propel Braddock Hills 51 – Nate Sprajcar scored 19 points and Jack Loughren finished with 19 in a nonsection win for Riverview (3-4). Dylan Tomer scored 13 points for Propel Braddock Hills (3-4). Kato Hill added 11 and Jarell Santiago 10.

Serra Catholic 63, Keystone Oaks 58 – Isiah Petty scored 26 points and Pete Burke added 18 to help Serra Catholic (5-4) to a nonsection win. Erond Jakupi led Keystone Oaks (2-5) with 26 points. Dante More had 11 and Ethan Spivak 10.

Shaler 66, Grove City 46 – Keegan Smetanka scored 16 points to lead three Titans in double figures in a nonsection win. Kaden Orga scored 11 for Shaler (8-0) and TJ Belles had 10. Brett Loughry had 14 for Grove City.

Uniontown 67, Tuscaloosa Central (AL) 55 – Calvin Winfrey scored 18 points and Notorious Grooms added 17 to lead Uniontown (7-0) at the KSA Pre-Holiday Tournament in Orlando, Fla. Jamire Braxton added 12 and Kelan Milsom had 10. King Larkin scored 18 and Javson Taylor had 15 for Tuscaloosa Central.

Upper St. Clair 47, Ashley Ridge (S.C.) 32 – Tyler Robbins led the Panthers (4-3) with 14 points in a win at the Charleston Classic in South Carolina. Christian Ito added 11 points and Brett Meinert and Kaamil Jackson scored 10 each.

Wrestling

Frazier 35, West Greene 27 Pins by Ty Clark (139 pounds), Adam Kortina (145), Jonah Erdley (152) and Jackson Angelo (189) helped Frazier win a nonsection match in front of the student body. Ryan Celaschi (215) had a technical fall for the Commodores (6-2). Noah Collins (121), Seth Burns (133), Hayden Hamilton (160) and Colin Whyte (285) had wins for West Greene (0-3). Frazier’s Rune Lawrence missed his third consecutive match due to injury.

North Allegheny 32, Norwin 32 – Travis Stipetich (160) won by fall in the final bout to tie the score 32-32 and give North Allegheny (8-2) a nonsection victory on Criteria D, most matches won.

Tanner Shaffer (152) recorded a pin in the next-to-last match to give Norwin (8-4) a six-point lead.

Evan Schomburg (107) and Charlie LaQuatra (114) won by fall, Casey Walker (127) and William Bentrim (133) by major decision and Kellen Buggey (172) and Mason Hartung (189) by decision for the Tigers.

Aiden Pham (285) and Gage Mamie (139) recorded pins, Landon Sidun (121) won by tech fall and Nathan Campbell (215) by decision for the Knights.

McGuffey 48, Fort Cherry 18 – McGuffey (7-1, 2-1) won the first seven bouts to pick up a Section 1-2A win. Pins went to Lane Ealy (121), Lucas Barr (133), Garrett Newman (139), Victor Bonus (145) and Brennen Mulliins (152). Emmett Wolfe (127) and Cameron Dames (160) won by decision. Braedon Welsh (172) won by fall and Anthony Salvini (189) and Louis Ryan (215) won by decision for Fort Cherry (1-5, 0-1).

Montour 48, Hopewell 24 – Anthony Esposito (121), Jacob Stetz (127) and Alex Dusch (215) picked up first-period pins to lead Montour (2-0) to a nonsection win. Jacob Chacon (133), Anthony Orlandini (139) and Brent Frauenz (160) also had pins and Kristen Walzer (107) and Jacob Halbedl (185) won by decision for the Spartans. Derrick Reilly (114), Jacob Bauknight (145), Isaiah Pisano (172) and Austin Gouza (189) won by fall for Hopewell (2-7).
