High school roundup for Nov. 27, 2023: Seneca Valley hockey moves into 1st-place tie with win over North Allegheny

Cenzo Ditullio made 31 saves to help Seneca Valley to a 3-2 victory over North Allegheny on Monday night, moving into a tie atop the PIHL Class 3A hockey standings.

Andrew Malichky, Marshall Hewitt and John Sroka scored for Seneca Valley (6-2). Evan Kerber and Brendan White scored for North Allegheny (6-2).

Bishop Canevin 12, Central Valley 0 – Ryan Saginaw had a hat trick and two assists as Bishop Canevin (6-0) cruised to a Division 2 win over Central Valley (5-4). Aiden Malay had a pair of goals and three assists, Brian Kalanish scored twice and had an assist, and Cole Evan contributed four assists.

Elizabeth Forward 8, Wilmington 2 – Owen Sabatini and Joey Wach scored two goals each for Elizabeth Forward (2-4) in a Division 2 win over Wilmington (2-5). Bobby Boord Jr. notched three assists and Corey Mooney had a goal and two assists for the Warriors. Sean Carmichael and Andrew Cartwright scored for the Greyhounds.

Greensburg Salem 8, West Allegheny 1 – Hunter Webb scored four goals, Mikey KIngerski had a goal and three assists, and Carter Cherok and Chase Kushner each added a goal and two assists for Greensburg Salem (7-3-1) in a Class A win. Chase Noel scored for West Allegheny (1-8).

Mars 2, Butler 0 – Adam Goul made 22 saves for the shutout, Ben Olshenske had a goal and an assist, and Jack Weaver also scored for Mars (5-4) in a Class A victory. EJ Delaney made 21 saves for Butler (3-7).

Meadville 5, Shaler 4 – Preston Phillis completed his hat trick by scoring the game-winning goal with three seconds left to lead Meadville (7-3) to a dramatic Class A victory. Ryan Yunik added two goals and an assist for Meadville. Jacob Kunc had two goals and two assists for Shaler (7-1).

Montour 10, Kiski 4 – Aiden Moskovitz had a hat trick and an assist to lead Montour (3-7) past Kiski (0-9) in Class A. Hunter Fielder netted a pair of goals and Liam Dallas added a goal and three assists for the Spartans. Ethan Bombalski had a hat trick and an assist for the Cavaliers.

Peters Township 4, Baldwin 1 – Luca Maietta, Charlie Caputo, Camden Martin and Drew Alexander scored for Peters Township (5-3) in a Class 3A win. Maietta added two assists. Tanner Plinta scored for Baldwin (1-7).

Plum 8, Richland 4 – Rylan Schoonover registered a hat trick and an assist, helping Plum (4-4) earn a Class A win. Colby Bartos added two goals and an assist for the Mustangs and Nick Majors, AJ Leah and Chase Tomain scored once each. Cooper Lawrence scored a pair for Richland (2-7).

Wheeling Park 5, Moon 2 – Luke Simonetti collected two goals and two assists and Landon Szaynski also scored twice for Wheeling Park (7-3) in a Class A win. Noah Driscoll had a goal and an assist for Moon (6-3).
