McKeesport running back Acie commits to Navy

McKeesport running back Carlinos Acie announced his commitment to Navy football on Thursday, making him the second senior from the Tigers backfield headed to a Division I school.
Acie also listed offers from Army, Brown, Citadel, Columbia, Dartmouth and Duquesne.

As a wingback in McKeesport’s triple-option offense, Acie (5-10, 180) rushed for 747 yards and nine touchdowns last season on 75 carries. The Tigers reached the WPIAL Class 5A semifinals last year and were WPIAL runners-up in 2016.
McKeesport teammate Layton Jordan signed in December to play linebacker at Temple.
