Penn Hills senior Dante Cephas, one of the top receivers in the WPIAL, committed Tuesday to Kent State.

Cephas announced his decision on Twitter.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound wideout and defensive back also listed offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Toledo and Howard.

He’s the third player from Penn Hills’ senior class to verbally commit to a D1 college, joining quarterback Hollis Mathis and running back Terry “Tank” Smith, who both are Howard recruits. Classmates Daequan Hardy and Corey Thomas also hold multiple D1 offers.

Cephas caught two touchdowns in Friday’s 36-15 victory over Mars, including a 70-yarder.
