Alex Tatsch now has scholarship offers from the region’s Big 3.
Penn State offered the Latrobe junior linebacker Saturday during the Nittany Lions’ game against Indiana at Beaver Stadium.
It’s another Power 5 offer on a growing list that includes Pitt and West Virginia.
The latest offer came a day after Penn State coach James Franklin visited Latrobe, landing his trademark helicopter on the turf at Rossi Field.
Franklin made his rounds in Western Pennsylvania Friday to touch base with recruits. He came to Latrobe before flying to Belle Vernon to check in with commit Quinton Martin.
Even with the Arnold Palmer International Airport nearby, Franklin decided to make his appearance with an early morning set-down at the school.
“It was cool,” Latrobe coach Ron Prady said of the chopper. “This is exciting for the community and our program. Everyone is happy for Alex and the growth of our program.”
Tatsch’s other offers are from Duke, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Marshall, Liberty, Boston Colege and Connecticut.
After a great visit, I am blessed and humbled to announce, I have a received an offer from Penn State!! #WeAre ⚪️????@coachjfranklin @CoachTerryPSU @Coach_MannyDiaz @ZemaitisTouch_ @Coachdanconnor @CoachRobbSmith @LATROBEFOOTBALL pic.twitter.com/40sKcOc2pN
