Pgh Central & Burgettstown Win WPIAL Boys Golf Championships

From 1998 through 2001, Burgettstown captured four straight WPIAL Division II championships. They hadn't won one since, but the eleven year drought ended Thursday as the Blue Devils captured the Class AA crown with Owen Miller leading the way with a 74. Another much longer drought also ended at the Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon thanks to Kris Wrights 74 as the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings won their first ever Class AAA championship.
