PIAA announces 1st round sites, times for 2024 baseball playoffs

Plum and Seneca Valley will host doubleheaders Monday in the first round of the PIAA baseball playoffs.

The PIAA released sites and times on Friday.

In all, 19 WPIAL teams qualified for the state playoffs. WPIAL champions Penn-Trafford in Class 5A and Bishop Canevin in A have games Monday at Plum, while Class 4A champion North Catholic and 3A winner Avonworth play back-to-back at Seneca Valley.

WPIAL Class 6A champion North Allegheny has a home game Monday. Seton LaSalle, the WPIAL 2A champion, starts its state tournament at Boyce Mayview Park in Upper St. Clair.

The playoffs end with championship games June 13-14 at Penn State.
