PIAA sets sites for 2nd-round boys basketball games in Class 6A, 3A, 2A

Class 2A boys basketball teams from the WPIAL got off to a great start on The Road to Hershey, while it was a slightly below average start for district teams from 6A and 3A.

Combined, the 17 District 7 teams were 9-8 in the opening round of those three classes Saturday.

The seven 2A teams were a combined 5-2 with only Northgate and Bishop Canevin being eliminated.

Class 3A teams from the WPIAL were 3-4 in Round 1 while a great comeback by champion Upper St. Clair spared the three district teams in the highest class from being swept.

Here are the western region first round final scores from Saturday, along with the sites and times for the second round contests set for Wednesday.
