About three weeks after announcing an offer from Navy, Pine-Richland’s Tyler King was ready to commit Saturday to the Midshipmen.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound junior linebacker picked the Naval Academy over FBS offers from Akron, Army, Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Kentucky and Kent State.

King made a team-high 150 total tackles last season for Pine-Richland, which won WPIAL and PIAA Class 6A titles. He also had 31⁄2 sacks and 131⁄2 tackles for a loss.
