Over the span of two days, the Quakers Valley Quakers earned a hard-fought 12-11 Semifinals victory over the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions.  The Quakers had to wait until Wednesday, May 22nd, to complete the victory after lightning suspended play the previous night.  On Thursday in the Finals, the well-rested Seton-LaSalle Rebels, the top-seed in the Division II tourney, took advantage of that scenario by scoring the first four goals of the game in the first 8 minutes en route to a 13-8 victory at Baldwin High School.

Colin Bashaw, Robert Lumire, Connor Quinlan, and Matt McGervey all found the back of the QV net past Eliott Sadka in the opening quarter.  QV would get on the board until late in the 1st period on goals by Mike Clark and Jimmy Perkins 11 seconds apart.

Just 44 seconds into the 2nd period, the Rebels extended the lead to 5-2 as Quinlan got his second goal of the game.  They would follow up with a goal from Anthony Shoplik over 7 1/2 minutes later to make it 6-2.  Perkins' second goal for the Quakers would cut the lead to 6-3 at the break.

4 more goals for the Rebels in the first 6:40 of the 3rd would seemingly put the game out of reach as McGervey, Bashaw, Noah Kaib, and Quinlan, who had the hat trick, would all score to make it a 10-3 game.  At that point, SL would go into more of a protect-the-lead, defensive mode, and the Quakers, more specifically, Jimmy Perkins, would take advantage.

Perkins added 2 more goals to his total to narrow the Rebels' lead to 10-5 before the end of the 3rd period.

And Perkins was not done as he would score his third consecutive goal at 1:35 of the 4th period to make it a 10-6 game.  Tyler Smith's goal for QV almost 4 minutes later made it 10-7.

Goals by Quinlan, his fourth of the game, and Bashaw, his second, however, restored a 5-goal advantage for the Rebels at 12-7.  Perkins would turn a double-hat trick with his 6th goal of the game to cut the lead to 12-8, but that was all the closer the Quakers would get as McGervey's hat trick goal would slam the door on QV.

The Quakers fought hard to keep up with SL, but in the end, it was just not enough for Perkins and QV.

The Seton LaSalle Rebels are the WPIAL Division II LaCrosse Champions with a 13-8 victory over the Quaker Valley Quakers.
