Micah Mason's basketball scoring and shooting statistics are eye-opening and surreal in some games. But another offensive statistic associated with Mason has been overlooked, but also is extremely impressive with the junior guard at Highlands High School. Mason is averaging 8.3 assists a game.

WPIAL Football Recruiting: Pitt is NOT it for Pitts, Now Rutgers Bound
The recruiting fall out of Dave Wannstedt leaving as Pitt head coach last month continued when Woodland Hills High School running back/defensive back Lafayette Pitts made a verbal commitment to Rutgers. Last summer, Pitts made a verbal agreement to make Pitt his college choice, but changed his mind when the Panthers and Coach Wannstedt went their separate ways.

PIHL High School Hockey All-Star Recaps 2011
The stars were not only out at Heinz Field on Sunday, but also at the Rostraver Ice Gardens as the PIHL held its four high school hockey all-star games. WPIAL Basketball Unbeaten Teams Shrinks by One
Coming into Friday's Freezefest high school hardwood action, there were eight WPIAL basketball teams, four boys and four girls, with perfect records through the midway point of section play. That number is now down to seven and was nearly sliced to six.

WPIAL Football Recruiting: The Price is Right for Ohio State
One of the top high school football seniors in the WPIAL has determined that Price is right for Ohio State. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Woodland Hills linebacker Ejuan Price has made a verbal commitment to Ohio State University. Price informed Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel of his decision Monday night as the coach visited the Price household.
