Ryan Gil and NA Teammates Golden in PIAA Cross-Country Championships

It was a golden Saturday for both Ryan Gil, who won the 2010 Boys Class AAA Individual cross-country race while his North Allegheny teammates finished first in the boys team standings at the Parkview Course in Hershey. A pair of WPIAL duo's made it to the Semifinals in the 2010 PIAA Girls Doubles Tennis Championships this weekend in Hershey, one in Class AAA and one in Class AA. On the one hand, Hampton (21-1-0) had defeated Mars (14-6-2) twice during the 2010 regular season, and was certainly motivated to avenge a loss in the 2009 WPIAL Championship game. There was a time when every WPIAL football team played ten games. It was called the regular season. Since the district went to a nine-week regular season, non-playoff football teams have a choice whether they want to play a tenth game.
