When the Apollo-Ridge softball players came to practice Tuesday, coach Ashtin Kirkwood said she saw a team in good spirits despite a loss to South Allegheny the day before.

North Allegheny’s Jack Bertram (4:13.36) and West Allegheny’s Grace Fritzman (4:59.21) won the signature mile runs at the Butler Invitational on Thursday. Fritzman also won the 3,200.
